Tickets
Do I need to attend the University of Iceland to buy a student-price ticket?
Student prices apply to all university students regardless of school, including those starting their studies this autumn. The only rule is that you must be a university student with a valid student ID when you pick up your wristband.
Do I need to be a university student to buy a ticket?
No, the festival is open to everyone aged 18 and over. The discount applies to university students regardless of school.
How do I get my tickets?
Your tickets arrive by email as soon as your payment is confirmed, with a QR code for each ticket attached.
Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yes. On your ticket page (the link in your confirmation email), select the ticket and enter the recipient’s email address. They receive a new ticket by email and the old QR code is deactivated automatically.
I can’t find my confirmation email. What do I do?
Check your spam folder first. If the email isn’t there, drop us a line at midar@ofest.is and we’ll resend your tickets.
Do I get a refund if I can’t make it?
After buying a ticket you have 14 days to withdraw from the purchase and request a full refund. This does not apply when the event is less than 14 days away; the purchase is then binding.However, you can transfer your ticket to anyone. See the refund terms at the bottom of the page.

Októberfest takes place 10–12 September 2026 in Vatnsmýrin, right in front of the University of Iceland.
Is there an age limit?
Yes, the festival is 18+.
