Oktoberfest 2026
Terms
Ticket sale terms and how we handle personal data.
Purchase and delivery
Tickets are sold at ofest.is and paid for by card. Right after payment, your tickets are sent to the email address provided at checkout as a PDF attachment with a QR code that is scanned at the entrance.
Please review your purchase carefully before paying: the right ticket type, quantity and dates. It is not always possible to correct a purchase afterwards.
The buyer is responsible for providing a correct email address at checkout. If your ticket does not arrive, check your spam folder first. You can also have your tickets resent at any time using the self-service page at ofest.is/finna-mida.
Refunds and cancellations
After buying a ticket you have 14 days to withdraw from the purchase and request a full refund. This does not apply when the event is less than 14 days away; the purchase is then binding.
If the festival is cancelled, ticket holders are offered equivalent tickets for a new date or a full refund of the ticket price, at the buyer’s choice. Refunds are made to the card used for the purchase.
If the date or time of the festival changes, tickets are automatically moved to the new date or time. If that does not suit you, you are entitled to a full refund; the change announcement may set a deadline, of at least 14 days, for exercising that right.
Changes to the programme of individual acts, for example if an artist cancels, do not count as a significant change to the festival and do not entitle you to a refund.
Ticket transfer and resale
Tickets may be transferred through the transfer system on the website; the new holder then receives the ticket at their own email address and the previous ticket becomes invalid.
Reselling tickets for profit is prohibited. If a ticket is sold at a profit by anyone other than the event organiser, Oktoberfest ehf. reserves the right to void the ticket without a refund.
Ticket limits
The maximum number of tickets per purchase is shown in the ticket shop. If more tickets are bought above the advertised limit under the same name, email address or payment card, Oktoberfest ehf. reserves the right to void the excess tickets.
Festival passes
A festival pass grants access to festival events during its validity period unless stated otherwise at purchase, subject to the capacity limits of each area and event.
Age limit
The festival is for guests aged 18 and over. Age limits are otherwise governed by Icelandic child protection curfew rules and alcohol legislation. Guests may be asked to show valid ID at the entrance.
By buying a ticket you agree to receive emails relating to your purchase and the event itself, such as your tickets and practical festival information. News and offers are only sent to those who explicitly join the mailing list, and every such email contains an unsubscribe link.
Personal belongings
Oktoberfest ehf. accepts no responsibility for guests’ personal belongings before, during or after the event.
Company information
Tickets are sold and the event is organised by Októberfest ehf., Icelandic company registration number (kennitala) 680726-1750, Sæmundargata 4, 102 Reykjavík.
Email: midar@ofest.is. Phone: 570-0850.
Privacy
We only collect the information needed to process and deliver your order: your name, email address, phone number and details of the tickets you bought. The data is not used for any other purpose and never sold to third parties.
The following processors are involved in the service: Landsbankinn and Verifone handle card payments, Resend delivers our emails, and the website is hosted on Vercel with data stored at Neon. Processing takes place within the EEA or on the basis of appropriate transfer mechanisms under data protection law. Each processor only receives the data its service requires.
Sales records are kept for seven years in accordance with Icelandic accounting law and are deleted after that period.
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data as provided by data protection law, and you can also lodge a complaint with the Icelandic Data Protection Authority. Privacy enquiries are answered at midar@ofest.is.
Card data security
Card details are entered on the secure Verifone payment page and never pass through Oktoberfest servers. Card payment processing complies with the PCI DSS security standard at Verifone and Landsbankinn, and all communication is encrypted with TLS.
Questions about these terms or privacy can be sent to midar@ofest.is.
